Wilma Burkhart

Wilma Jean Burkhart, 71 of Cawood, KY died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.  Wilma was born in Verda, Kentucky daughter of the Late Guy and Rosa Irvin McMillian.  Wilma attended the Cawood Church of God of the Mountain Assembly.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband:  Virgil Burkhart; Sisters:  Melvina McMillian Jones and Reba McMillian Painter; Brothers:  Hiram McMillian, Michael McMillian and Richard McMillian; and Niece:  Rachel Ernestine Stewart.

Surviving are Children:  Jeffery Wayne Burkhart, Randy Burkhart, Mark Burkhart, Victoria Smith, Barbara Elaine Burkhart, and Brandi Burkhart; Sisters:  Patricia McMillian Clem of Wallins, Rita (Danny) McMillian Lankford of Wallins, Shirley (George) McMillian Stewart of Cranks, and Kathleen (Ernest) McMillian Stewart of Cawood; Grandchildren:  Brandon Vergil Burkhart, Kristen Diane Burkhart, Kimberly Leann Burkhart, and Jeffrey Allen Burkhart; Great-Grandchildren:  Bailey Nicole Burkhart and Carter Wayne Burkhart.  Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 7:00 PM also in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home.  The Rev. Frankin Stewart will be officiating the services.

Interment will be in the Burkhart Family Cemetery in Cawood, KY at 12:00 PM Wednesday, March 12, 2014.
