Willie Gray, 84 of Harlan, KY passed away suddenly on Sunday morning August 7, 2022 at the Harlan ARH.
He was the son of the late James and Frances Gray Jarmon and one of four children. He attended Rosenwald High School and was a graduate of Morristown College, Morristown, TN. He was the owner/operator of Willie Gray Painting Company, and the beloved husband of Billie Jean Cole Gray for 61 years. He was a faithful member and trustee of First Baptist Church.
The legacy he leaves behind includes his wife, Billie Jean Cole Gray; one daughter, Sherrie Johnson; one son, James Christopher Gray; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 sister-in-laws, Joyce Cole, Richmond, KY and Ella Cole, Lexington, KY; 5 nieces, 6 nephews and numerous cousins and friends all of whom will miss him greatly for he was well loved by his family and friends.
Visitation will be 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Saturday (Aug. 13) at the First Baptist Church of Harlan.
Homegoing services will follow at 1:00 pm Saturday (Aug. 13) at the The First Baptist Church of Harlan with Rev. Jake Ravizee officiating.
Kevin Gray, Craig Gray, Berlin Cole, III, Mark Cole, Eric Keith Cole, Dewayne Johnson, Donnie Blaine, Jerod Lowe, Reggie Young, Charles Harrison will be serving as Pallbearers.
Burial services will be private.
