Wayne Ball

Wayne Ball 92 of Rio Vista passed away on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018 at the Harlan ARH.

Wayne was born June 15, 1925 in Harlan Co., KY to the late Lonnie and Ruth Ball. He was retired sales rep for Jeffrey Mining Equipment with 35 years of service. He was a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard, member of First Baptist Church of Loyall and was an avid reader. He was proud to say he was the state spelling bee champion while in high school.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Darnell and Charles Ball; sister, Virginia Ball.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Mable Bunch Ball; 2 children, Roger Ball and Susan Willis; grandson, Mark Wayne (Bana) Ball; 1- great grandson, Nicou Ball and 1 coming soon; he leaves a host of family and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday (Jan. 11) in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Dr. Mark Wayne Ball officiating.

Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith, KY.

Visitation will be after 11:00 am Thursday (Jan. 11) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home until the funeral hour.
