Virginia "Jenny" Lequire Barton

Virginia (Jenny) McGlamery Lequire Barton, 71 of Rosspoint passed away Wednesday September 18, 2013 at Baptist Health, Lexington.

Jenny was born in Harlan Co., KY to the late James and Dorothy McGlamery. She was a graduate of Loyall High School and had worked at National Electric Coil, Harlan Independent School and volunteered her time at the Harlan Appalachian Hospital Gift Shop. She believed in the Baptist faith and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, Harold “Bucket” Lequire; her sister-in-law, Patricia McGlamery.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Edward Barton of Rosspoint; her children, Scott LeQuire and Wife Leighanne Stines Lequire of Nicholasville, KY and  Kimberly Lequire Howell husband Todd Howell of Dayton; Lori Barton and Troy Barton both of Rosspoint; stepdaughter, Angie Barton of Bowling Green, MO and step son, Jeff Barton and wife Gayla of Hannibal, MO; grandchildren, Shelby Lee and Spencer Howell; and  step-grandchildren, Charli-Grace Davis, Jessica Barton and husband Matt, Joshua Barton and wife Tara, Jeffrey Kalen Barton; 2 great grandchildren, Jace Barton and Jaxen Lake; sister, Judy Orick and husband Mike Orick of Danville, Kentucky; brother, James (Jimmy) McGlamery of Rosspoint; she leaves nieces and nephews including a special niece, Michelle Orick Martin and husband Jon, she leaves other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5 until 7:00 pm at the Immanuel Baptist Church

Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm at the Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Arnold Martin officiating.

Interment will be 1:00 pm Monday at the Resthaven Cemetery Chapel, Keith, KY.

Flowers are welcomed, but memorials are suggested to the Immanuel Baptist Church, 550 Upper Elcomb Drive, Harlan, KY 40831 in loving memory of Jenny.
