Tommy Wayne Dean, 51 of Rio Vista passed away on Thursday July 23, 2020.
Tommy Wayne was born in Pineville, KY on November 13, 1968 to Tommy and Zola Dye Dean. He was a lifelong resident of Harlan Co and graduated from Harlan High School, Class of 86.
He was a coal miner and carpenter, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars. He most especially enjoyed spending time with his beloved family. He was a member of the Church of the Living God at Baxter.
Besides his parents he is survived by his companion of 32 years, Paula Simpson; his children, Natasha Dean and Fiance, Justin Rowe, Sarah Simpson and Patrick, Scottie Simpson and wife Cassie; grandchildren, Emma and Erin McReynolds, Rydge "Little J" Rowe, Alyssa, Andrew, and Brooklyn Howard, Rylan Simpson; his brother, Charles Edward Dean; his sister, Tammy Jones and husband Dewayne; nephews Ryan Dean and Glen Hensley and wife Tamera; he leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Saturday (July 25) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Daryl Turner and Rev. Tim Combs officiating.
Graveside services will be 12:00 pm Sunday (July 26) at the Hensley Cemetery at Smith, KY.
Pallbearers will be Justin Rowe, Dewayne Jones, Scotty Middleton, Scottie Simpson, Ryan Dean, Charles Dean, Perry Webb, and Glen Hensley.
