Thelma Simpson

Thelma Simpson, 84 of Sawbriar, KY passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center, Hazard, KY.
Thelma was born Tuesday, December 24, 1935 in Harlan Co., KY to the late Charlie Saylor and Joyce Belcher. She was a homemaker.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack L. Simpson; siblings, Jewell P. Flugg and Orville Saylor; grandson, Logan Miles Simpson; son in law, Raymond Fidel Morales.
She is survived by her loving children, Joyce Morales, Patty (Scotty) Underwood, Carol (Eddie) Sparks, Jack (Patty) Simpson, Beth (Josh) Halstead, Johnny (Serena) Simpson, and Robert (April) Simpson; grandchildren, Erik (Rachel) Morales, Jackie Albee, Beth (Reece) Oestreich, Larry (Jasmine) Albee, Vonzell (BF) Hammons, Daniel (Miranda) Sparks, Shawn (Heather) Lawson, Tiffany Barnett, Kimmi (Robert) Price, Max Barnett, Johnny (Alli) Simpson, Evan and Ethan Simpson; 18 great-grandchildren; siblings, Charles A. Saylor, Shirley Osborne, Elvis Saylor, Lucille Trail, Leroy Saylor, Frank Saylor, Susan Saylor Stewart; special friends, Brenda "BK" Blanton, Etta Asher, and Lillian Poole; and her special "lil" friend, Alex Napier.
In keeping with Thelma's wishes a simple graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday (August 20) at the Resthaven Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Buddy Simpson officiating.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Webb, Eric Morales, Johnny Simpson and other family and friends.
