Sandra Dean Simpson

Sandra Stanton (Dean) Simpson passed on Friday, 12/10/21 to join the Lord in his bountiful glory.

She was preceded in death by husband of twenty years Eugene Joseph Simpson.

She is survived by her son Bill R. Dean, Sisters Georgia Zuckerman, Ester Teilmann, Vera Whitehead, Naomi Ruth Jaynes, Helen (Van) Gillum, and Brother John (Lisa) Stanton.  Nieces Rachel Baker, Judy Green, Kathy Shepherd, Stacey Cordero, Sandy Lisa Stanton. Nephews Michael Zuckerman, Beau Stanton, Clark Stanton, Raymond Stanton, Ronnie Stanton, Bob Stanton, Joe Bill Baker, Todd Gillum, James Simpson, Greg Green, Jeff Stanton, Charles Whitehead, Harry Whitehead. Also, many other family members which she loved dearly. She dearly loved children and dogs doing many things above the call to help any she crossed paths with.

She was born and raised in Crummies, KY and was proud of her community and her hometown of Harlan, Kentucky.  She was also a resident of Knoxville, TN for twenty years were she met and was neighbors with many wonderful friends.

She was a person who passionately held to her beliefs and opinions, but was one of the most generous people you would ever meet.  She believed in service and serving others.  She loved and was proud of her family and did her best to honor them.

Visitation will be 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm on Tuesday (Dec. 14) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home of Harlan.

Private burial will be in the Brock/Stanton Cemetery at Crummies.
