Samantha Lawana (Dodd) Scott, 51 of Wallins died Monday, February 6, 2017 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. Samantha was born October 9, 1965 in Dayton, Kentucky daughter of the late Lester and Lovvada Isaacs Dodd. She lived most of her life in Harlan County, She attended the New Freedom Worship Center in Wallins.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Scott and one brother, Fred Dodd.
Surviving are her children, Tammy (Scotty) Ward, April (James) Woodard, and Jerry (Pamela) Scott; and grandchildren, Chelsea, Charlie, Jerry, Nick, and Destiny; and brother, Clifford Isaacs. A special Friend, Doris Snellings will also mourn her passing.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday at 1:00 PM also in the chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home. Brother Bobby Smith will be officiating the services.
Interment will follow the funeral in the Whitestar Cemetery at Dayhoit. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
