Richard "Dicko" Jones

Richard “Dicko” Eugene Jones, 73 of Evarts, KY died Friday July 8, 2016 at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. Born August 6, 1942 he was the son of the late Boyd and Rachel Jones. He was a retired carpenter and believed in the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Lou Jones; brothers, Carl Jones and Billy Jones; sisters, Virginia Stanfill and Sue Hatcher; and one son, Clayton Timothy Johnson.
Surviving are his children, Keith (Betty) Johnson of Kildav, Carlos (Shelia) Johnson of Virginia, and Sonya Parker and fiancé Phil of Closplint; and two sisters, Linda McClain of Georgia and Lois Woodard of North Carolina; and brother, J. R. (Dorothy) Jones of Ohio. Nine Grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be Monday, July 11, 2016 from 12:00-2:00 at Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be Monday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Kirby officiating. Wayne Anglian will provide music.
Interment will follow the funeral in the Evarts Memorial Gardens, Evarts, Kentucky.
