HARLAN-Rebecca Shepherd, 83 of Harlan went to her Heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior on Dec. 11, 2014 from the Harlan ARH with family by her side.
Rebecca was born Oct. 27, 1931 in Leslie Co., KY to the late Elhannon and Emily North Nantz. She was a homemaker.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Shepherd; 2 son-in-laws, Ronnie Hensley and Henry Middleton; 2 grandchildren, Henrietta Middleton and Jerry Edwards, several brothers and sisters.
Those left to celebrate her life are her 4 loving children, Sheldon (Evelyn) Shepherd of Akron, OH, Sharon Middleton of Evarts, Helen (Woodroe) Smith of Smith, Ann (Allen) Fultz of Loyall; stepson, John (Charlotte) Simpson of London, KY; a granddaughter whom she raised, Bekki (James) Craig of Harlan; brothers, Paul Williams of Harlan, James Williams of Mt. Vernon, Joe (Nancy) Williams of Cincinnati, OH, Cornia (Dillis) Whitehead of Asher; sister, Barbara (Caleb) Napier of Casey, KY; she was a proud grandmother to 17 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and her loving church families.
Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 from 6 until 10:00 pm at the Teetersville Church of God.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 Sunday Dec. 14, 2014 at the Teetersville Church of God with Bro. Terry Adams, Bro. Gary Craig, and Bro. Tim Goshen officiating.
Burial will follow in the Rye Cove Cemetery at Warbranch (Leslie Co.) Ky.
