Owen Earl Petrey, Sr.

Owen Earl Petrey Sr, age 85, of Rio Vista, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side Wednesday, March 28, 2018. Born February 11, 1933 at Rockholds, Ky to his loving parents, Cullen and Gladys Petrey. He believed in the holiness faith and lived his life serving the Lord and caring for his family and friends. He was a member of the Loyall Masonic Lodge which is now Howard Lodge at Baxter, and served in Korea in the United States Air Force before working as a route salesman for Chappell's Dairy and Flavo-Rich. He was an avid outdoorsman, fisherman, and coonhunter before his beloved Rusty passed away and was known to many as "Coonie". He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Nateka Ann Petrey; brothers Clarence Petrey, Bill Petrey, and Ova Ray Petrey; sisters Louise Petrey and Marie Petrey.

He is survived by his sons Owen Earl (Sherrie) Petrey Jr, James Michael Petrey, and daughter Chrissy (Harold) Blakley

Grandchildren:  Mindy (Tim) Brummett, Owen Earl Petrey III, Michael Petrey, Beth Petrey, and Braxton Petrey; Cullen (Veronica) Petrey; Jessica Blakley and Rebecca Blakley

Great-Grandchildren: Autumn Petrey, Lilly Brummett; Bryleigh Middleton, Skyra Middleton, Roxanne Petrey, McKenzie Petrey, and Jace Petrey; Jaycee Petrey and Kenzlee Petrey; Aubrey Noe, Kendell Blevins; and a great-granddaughter due in August, Gracelynn.

Siblings:  Pauline Hall, Clifford (Louise) Petrey, Maye (Tom) Fallon, Faye Akers, Eldon Petrey, and Anna Sue Petrey

And a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends

Visitation will be held Friday March 30, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday March 31, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Ages Free Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Reverend Jesse Kinder officiating.

Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith, KY.

Pallbearers will be Owen Petrey III, Michael Petrey, Cullen Petrey, Tim Brummett, Cory Clem
