Ocie Marie Caldwell Coldiron Nicholson, 89 of Bledsoe passed away on Friday March 27, 2020 at the Harlan Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Ocie was born July 5, 1930 in Harlan Co., KY to the late Lige and Dorcas Caldwell. She was retired from the Harlan ARH and Harlan County Health Department. She was a member of the New Freedom Worship Center in Wallins.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her 3 children, Michael, Marice, & Connie; her husbands, Clifford Coldiron and John Boyd Nicholson; brother, Ernest Caldwell and sister, Virginia Nolan.

She is survived by her 5 children, Rolanda Coldiron (Lane) Smith of Knoxville, TN, Bonnie June Coldiron Napier, Jackie Coldiron (Ephie) Hensley, Marsha Lee Coldiron (Ronnie) Cook all of Bledsoe, KY, Mitchell Mark (Sabrina) Coldiron of Lawrenceburg, KY; 8 grandchildren, for whom was her babies that she loved more than anything, Robert Matthew Napier, Shannin Marie Pace (Scott) Wilson, Dion (Ashley) Coldiron, Shonna Lynn Hensley, Monica Denise Pace (Steve) Bird, April Annette Patterson (Tommy) Farris, Brandon Hensley, and Michael Wayne Cook; 5 step grandchildren, Ronnie Travis Cook, Christy Allison Cook, Keith Smith, Scotty Stephens, Brandy Young Napier; 8 great grandchildren, Seth Pace, Katie Napier, Brandon Tyler Hensley, Hunter Hensley, Haley Coldiron, Peyton Michael Cook, Olivia Bird and Sophia Bird; 16 step grandchildren.

Due to Governor Andy Beshear's Executive Order, given on March 17, 2020, and based on CDC recommendations to decrease the spread of COVID-19, all services for Ocie Marie Nicholson will be private, with Rev. Bobby Smith officiating.

Her service will be on Facebook Live (Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home Page) at 1:00 pm Sunday, March 29, 2020.

Private burial will be in the Coldiron-Nolan Cemetery at Bledsoe with Grandchildren serving as Pallbearers.

The family will forever be thankful for the staff of the Harlan Health & Rehabilitation Center and the Harlan ARH for the wonderful care and love that they showed to their wonderful mother.

The family ask that memorials be made to the New Freedom Worship Center, C/O Mona Bargo, PO Box 96, Loyall, KY 40806 in memory of Ocie.
