Nora Johnson
June 8, 1944 — December 27, 2014
Nora Lee Johnson, 70 of Harlan, Kentucky died Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center. A native of Harlan, she was the daughter of the Late Charles Edward and Myrtle Bennett Brock. She was a homemaker and a very Christian and Spiritual Woman.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Ralph North, Sr. and one daughter, Flora Ruth North.
Surviving are two sons, Boyd North of Harlan and Mike North of Tunnel Hill, GA; two daughters, Betty (Reed) Brown of Totz, KY and Jane (Valarie Miracle) North of Pineville, KY; daughter-in-law, Bernice Worley of Georgia; one brother, Gary Brock of Harlan, KY; and one sister, Nanny Brock of Harlan, KY. Ten grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 3, 2014 from 12:00 – 1:30 PM in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home.
Graveside Services will follow 2:00PM in the Harlan Gas Cemetery. Michael Allen North, Rufus Shipman, Austin Gray, Wayne Keith, Reed Brown, and Josh Stanton will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to help with her final expenses.
