Michaela JoAnn Short

Michaela JoAnn Short, 24, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024.

She is preceded in death by her father, Michael Short, grandparents Ronnie Short, Peggy Short and Geraldine Witt and great-grandparents Milford Short, Wilma Short and Milford Short.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her dog and sidekick, Josie, her brother, who was the love of her life, Blade Short, her sister, Chyna Caudill, mother, Nancy Short, uncle who was a second dad, Mitchell Short, her greatmaw and very best friend, Wilma “Sissy” Short, her nieces and nephew, Alyssa Coker, Elizabeth Coker and Jack Coker, her soulmate and cousin, Tori Peace, and Crissy Johnson who was a second mom to her, as well as a host of extended family and close, special friends.

Visitation will be 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Sunday (July 7) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home, Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens at Verda, KY. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
