Martha Wilson

Martha Sue Roberts Wilson, 64, of Harlan, was born on Nov. 14, 1957 and departed this life on August 23, 2022 at the Middlesboro ARH.

She was of the Baptist faith and her occupation was a homemaker. Her passion was helping the elderly with daily activities and baking cupcakes for the neighborhood kids who lovingly also called her mom. Martha was devoted to all who knew her and was one of the strongest women we knew. She was a devoted wife, and terrific mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, friend. To know her was to love her.

Martha was preceded in death by her mother, Rosa Mae King Roberts; father, George Roberts; step father, James “Buck” Wilson; twins she miscarried; mother in law, Rosie Wilson Moss; sisters in laws, Wanda Rice, Jewell Bowling, Ann Wilson; brother in law, Virgil Wilson, Jr; nephews, Jason Wilson, Virgil Wilson, III, and Donald Ray Bowling; special friends Pam Foley and Margaret Johnson.

Left to mourn her loss are her husband, Winston Wilson Sr.; 6 kids, Hollace Wilson, Billy (Becky) Wilson of Eubank, Krystal (Teddy) Lawson of Barbourville, Bridget Wilson of Middlesboro, Pam (Shawn) Glisson of New Tazewell, Arliss Anthony Wilson of Middlesboro; 6 grandkids, Addisyn and Landon Wilson of Eubank, Hunter (Shonteen) Ramsey of Harlan, Breonna and Aubrey Wilson of Middlesboro, Rex Glisson of New Tazewell; great granddaughter, Elisabeth June Ramsey; sisters, Sherry (Malcolm) Mullen of Indiana, Judy (Denny) Wilson of Harlan, Peggy (Steve) Whitfort of Wisconsin, Gail (David) Sutton of TN, Anna (Michael) Granville of Wisconsin; brothers, George (Laura) Roberts of Illinois, Ray Roberts of TN, Danny Roberts of Chicago; she also leaves a host of other relatives and friends, including special friends, Holly Landrum who was like a daughter, Lynn (Don) Richardson, Rodrick Major, and Samantha Wilson the mother of her grandchildren to mourn her passing.

Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday (Aug. 27) in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Bro. Rodrick Major officiating. Burial will follow in the Harlan Gas Cemetery with family and friends serving as Pallbearers.

Visitation will be 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Friday (Aug. 26) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home of Harlan.
