Marguerite Middleton
June 24, 1933 — February 15, 2016
Marguerite Etta Middleton, 82 of Rosspoint passed away on Monday Feb. 15, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Marguerite was born in Tremont, KY on June 24, 1933 to the late Berry and Ollie Noe Middleton. She was employed in housekeeping at the Harlan ARH for many years. She served her Lord as a longtime and very faithful member of the Putney Bible Church.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Lee Middleton; brothers, Arthur Lee and Claude Middleton; a sister, Reba Wilson; a grandson, Stephen Clay Groves.
Survivors include, sister, Lorene Turner of Tremont, KY; a brother, Clark (Shirley) Middleton of Sun City Center, FL; daughter, Diana (Jerry) Hall of Putney, KY, Daughter; Loretta (Clay) Groves of Rosspoint, KY; son, Harold Lee (Sue) Middleton of Baxter, KY; 7 grandchildren and their spouses, 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who mourn her passing.
Visitation will be Thursday (Feb. 18) from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Putney Bible Church.
Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm at the Putney Bible Church with Rev. Clay Groves officiating.
Graveside services will be 12:30 pm Friday (Feb. 19) at the Lewis Cemetery, Putney, KY (by Putney Post Office) where she will be laid to rest by her beloved Husband, Lee.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Hall, David Groves, Benjamin Nichols, Ben Brewster, Jeremy Hall, Isaac Middleton, Michael Scott, and David Carter.
Flowers are welcome, but the family suggest memorials be made to the Harlan Christian School, PO Box 45, Putney, KY 40865 in memory of Mrs. Middleton.
