Mac Johnson
January 26, 1942 — April 17, 2014
Mac A. Johnson, 72 of Harlan passed away Thursday April 17, 2014 at the Tri-Cities Nursing & Rehabilitation Center following a short illness.
Mac was born January 26, 1942 to the late Mack and Dorothy Johnson. He was a former employee of the Harlan ARH maintenance department. He proudly served his country as a Veteran of the United States Army and former member of the Harlan Honor Guard. He was a member of the Lenarue Baptist Church.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, John Johnson, and sister, Phyllis Mabe.
He is survived by sisters, Della Mullins of Covington, KY, Mary Saylor of Hyden, KY, Gloria Stapleton of Merrillville, IN, Shirley (Mark) Lawrence of Florence, Montana, and Lois (Rick) Childers of Georgetown, OH; his brothers, James (Debbie) Johnson of Indiana and Fred (Linda) Johnston of Lenarue; He leaves a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be Tuesday (April 22) from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm in the chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Howard officiating.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday (April 23) at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA. Military rites will be observed by the Harlan Honor Guard.
