Lottie Dixon, 82 of Harlan passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Harlan ARH after battling several chronic illnesses for the last 6 and half years of her life.
Mrs. Dixon was born on May 9, 1935 to the late Lloyd and Naomi Gross Whitehead. She was the retired owner of Central Cab Co. from 1983 – 2011. She believed in the Baptist faith.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Dixon; brothers, Alfred and Dexter Whitehead; special friend, James Langley.
She is survived by her son, Bobbie (Lisa) Dixon; her grandchildren, Abbigayle (Josh) Ball, and Olivia Dixon; her brothers, Oscar, Manuel, Ted, and Roscoe Whitehead; sisters, Carol Couch, and Mary Greene; she leave several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn her passing, including a special nephew, Bill Couch.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday (Jan. 24) at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Nick Noe officiating.
Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith, KY with Pete Dean, Kevin Ball, Dr. Abiodun E. Akisanyn, Terry Sellers, Craig Garland, and Claude Wilson will serve as Pallbearers.
Visitation will be Wednesday (Jan. 24) after 11:00 am until the funeral hour at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
