Lorena Hobbs

Lorena Hobbs, 81 of Pathfork passed away on Sunday December 22, 2013 at her home.

She was born in Putney , KY on March 2, 1932 , a daughter to the late Tilman and Myrtle Earls Collett. She believed in the Holiness Faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Hobbs; her sister, Violet and Minarae Howard; her brothers, Robert and Paul Collett, and Charles Howard.

Survivors include her children, Sue Stacy of Gibson Station, VA, Paul ( Lynn ) Hobbs of Pathfork, Eva (Mark) Bell of Harlan, John Hobbs, Jr., of Pathfork, David (Sherrie) Hobbs of Helton, KY; Brother & Sister, Josh Howard and Minnie Fay Saylor; grandchildren, Paul Wayne Hobbs, Jr and Brenda Sue Hobbs Watts both of Pathfork, Donna Sue (Doug) Steele of Gibson Station, VA, Megan Stacy of Gibson Station, VA, Courtney, Jeremy, and John Bell all of Harlan, and Blake Brock of Helton; great grandchildren, Brittany and Bradley (B.J.) Watts of Pathfork, Keanu Taylor of Bearbranch, KY and Jaxon Marc of Essie, KY. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be Thursday December 26, 2013 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Everette Eads, Rev. J.C. Craig, and Rev. Thomas Heck officiating.

Burial will follow in the Tackett Hill Cemetery at Blackmont.
