Lloyd Doan
November 12, 1927 — February 10, 2016
Lloyd Clayton Doan, 88 of Verda, Kentucky died Wednesday, February 10 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. A native of Verda, Kentucky he was son of the Late George and Lura Doan. He was a veteran of U.S. Army serving in WWII and retired from the Chevron Company. He believed in the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, GP Doan, Verden Doan, Jack Doan, Paul Doan, and Ray Doan and sisters, Rosemary Stagger and Eloise Harris.
Surviving are his sister, Wanda Gross of Verda and nieces and nephews, GP III, Samantha, Mark, Kathyrn, Jackie, Carla, Kevin, Ernie, Teresa, Greg, Lura, Pat, Ray, and David.
Per his request graveside services will be conducted Friday, February 12, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the Resthaven Cemetery. The Rev. Joe Howard will officiate the services. Members of the Harlan Honor Guard will provide Military Rites.
