Lewis Green

Lewis Green 96 of Smith, KY went peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday afternoon of July 2, 2021 with family by his side.
Lewis was born February 7, 1925 to the late Jonathan and Mary Neff Green. He was a retired Coal Truck driver. He was a gentle and kind man that always enjoyed talking about old time country living, working hard to provide for his loving family. He loved the simple life, westerns, vanilla ice cream cones and sugar babies.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bernice Stanton Green; his son, Lewis Green, Jr; and grandson, Jason Green.
He is survived by his three loving children, Beverly (Benny) Amburgey of Corbin, KY, Greg Green of Smith, KY, and Judy Brock of Loyall, KY; four grandchildren, Jonathan (Becky) Green of London, KY, Cynthia Green of Somerset, KY, B.J. (Jamie) Amburgey of Corbin, KY, and Amy (Josh) Bates of of Collinsville, OK; 5 great grandchildren, and his sister, Mary Belle Hurd of Georgetown, KY; he leaves several other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
A family graveside service will be 4:00 pm Tuesday (July 6) at the Green Cemetery (The Family Homeplace)  in Smith, KY with Rev. Spencer Burkhart officiating. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
