Larry Blaine

Larry Wayne Blaine, 64 of Harlan departed this life on Sunday evening of December 18, 2022 at the Harlan Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Larry was born February 4, 1958 in Harlan to the late George and Beatrice Blaine and was the youngest of 12 siblings. He was educated in the Harlan Co. School System and was a graduate of the Evarts High School, later he joined the job corp where he was trained to operate heavy equipment as well as various other jobs. He enjoyed fishing, sports and being of the Baptist faith.
Larry became a patient at the Harlan Health & Rehabilitation Center for the past several years. It was here where he received excellent care, from the Doctors and Staff.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by one sister, Danna Carr; five brothers, Herman, Robert, Ronnie, Johnny and Clarence Blaine.
Left to cherish his memories, his life long partner, Dorothy Smith; one son, Larry Smith, II; three daughters, Jessica E. Smith, Tyler M. Smith and Sumer I. Smith; his grandchildren; brothers, Jacky R. Blaine and Jewell Smith, George Blaine, II and Deacon Donnie (Lillie Mae) Blaine; sister, Mildred Carreker; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives to mourn his passing.
A Memorial service to Celebrate the life of Larry Wayne Blaine will be held 1:00 pm Saturday (Dec. 31) at the First Baptist Church of Harlan, 405 N. Main Street, Harlan, KY 40831 with Rev. Jake Ravizee officiating.
