Kenneth Wayne Grubbs, 52, of Cawood, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at the University Of Kentucky Hospital after a long battle with lung disease.  Kenneth was born September 25, 1961 to Ken and Freda Grubbs of Cawood, KY.

Kenneth loved being in the mountains on his 4 wheeler and loved camping.  He was a disabled Coal Miner having worked for over 30 years underground for Reese Lemar’s Coal, Manalapan Mining, and Black Mountain Resources.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Blaine and Sudie Grubbs, Ethel and David Eldridge; a special great uncle, Mickle Green; and special cousins, Rick Ruark and Ancel Eldridge.

Survivors include his parents, Ken and Freda Grubbs; his girl friend, Kimberly Bailey of Cawood; a daughter, Megan Sue & Alex Noe of Cawood; two sons, Kenneth “Joey”  Grubbs and Kevin W. Napier both of Cawood; the love of his life, a granddaughter, Allison Chloe Noe of Cawood; two stepchildren, Shannon Price and Henry “Bubby” Price of Owensboro, KY; one brother, Michael & Joann Grubbs of Cawood; and two sisters, Victoria & Winston Brite of Cawood and Georgina & Doyle Perkins of Cawood.  Also surviving are a host of nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins and all of his 4 wheeler buddies as well as lots of friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home, Harlan, KY.  The funeral will follow at 8:00 PM also in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home.  The Rev. Franklin Stewart and Clark Stanton will officiate the services.

Burial services will be conducted Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Grubbs Family Cemetery at Still House Branch in Cawood, KY.  Joey Grubbs, Kevin Napier; Scott Daley; Andy Brewer; Charles Tomlin, Jr.; Christopher Tomlin; Frankie Clem; and Alex Noe will serve as pallbearers.
