Junior Madewell

  Junior Madewell, 65 of Harlan passed away on Friday Evening of October 27, 2023 at the Pikeville Medical Center following a brief illness.
  Junior was born April 30, 1958 in Bledsoe, KY to the late Ida Middleton. He enjoyed fishing and and spending time with family. He believed in the Holiness Faith.
  Besides his mother he was preceded in death by his sisters, Geraldine Madewell and Maxine Shorter; brother, David Day; and his nephew, David Madewell.
  He is survived by his siblings, Ronnie (Sharon) Madewell, Nancy Madewell and Michelle Blanton; he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
   Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday (Nov. 1) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
   Funeral services will be 12:00 pm Thursday (Nov. 2) in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Kermit Creech officiating.
   Burial will follow in the Harlan County Memorial Gardens at Lay Hill with Family and Friends serving as Pallbearers.
