June Maureen Roark

June Maureen Rogers Roark, 89, went home to be with Jesus at 7:05 am on January 22, 2025 at Harlan ARH surrounded by her family.

She was born to the late William Lawrence and Nila Oden Rogers on June 16, 1935. She was a member of the Coldiron Pentecostal Church. She was a retired lunch room worker for the Harlan County Board of Education. Her passion in life was serving Jesus and spending time with her two daughters and other family members.

Besides her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Roark, and her siblings; two brothers, William Louie and Hugh Don Rogers, and one sister, Lawanda Rogers Fenstermaker.

She leaves behind her children; Patricia (Lonnie) Gambrel of Coldiron, KY and Tammy (Michael) Simpson of Harrogate, TN, her grandchildren; Jimmy (Faye) Garrett of Smith, KY, Toni (Mark) Craig of Georgetown, KY, Darren Farmer of Brownsville, OR, and Krissy (Daniel) Bruce of Corryton, TN, great grandchildren; Joshua (Kirsten) Garrett, Summer (Delanoe Maximore) Garrett, Allison (Kyle) Middleton, Caitlin Craig, Brooklynn Craig, Sawyer Bruce, and Baby Girl Bruce arriving in May 2025, one great great grandchild, Natalie Garrett and Ellie Middleton; and one brother, Charles (Evelon) Rogers of Chicago, IL.

Visitation will be on Saturday (Jan. 25) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be on Sunday (Jan. 26) at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Eli Craig, Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow on Sunday (Jan.26) in the Laymon Cemetery in Coldiron, KY.
