On Monday, October 15, 2018 our beloved wife, mother, and sister Joy Annette Taylor passed into the loving arms of her Lord, following a long battle with cancer at the age of 64.
Joy was born in Harlan on July 26, 1954. On November 19, 1976 she married the love of her life Russell Taylor.
She was a 35 year employee of Harlan Community T.V. where her co-workers were also good friends. Joy much enjoyed fishing with her husband, in her spare time.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Opal Smith Hatfield.
Joy is survived by her loving husband, Russell; her daughters, Angela Kelly Taylor and Jody Lee Taylor all of Harlan; sisters, Trudy (Tim) Farmer of North Carolina, and Susan (Mike) Congdon of Tennessee; brothers, Clark (Sandy) Hatfield of Pansy and Scott Hatfield of Harlan; lifelong friend, Cathy (Bob) Burns of Harlan.
Per her wishes there will be no services and Cremation was in the care of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
The family wishes to thank the employees of Harlan Community T.V. for their love and support, the staff of Bluegrass Hospice Care for their loving care in keeping Joy comfortable during her final months.
