Jimmy “Buck” Douglas Gambrel, 69 of Catrons Creek passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at the Harlan ARH.
“Buck” was born September 27, 1950 in Harlan Co., KY. He was a lifelong resident and retired coal truck driver. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, listening to music and working in his garage.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother that raised him, Addie Barker; his son, Jeff Gambrel; wife Tresa Gambrel.
He is survived by his children, Joy (Mark) Stewart of Maryville, TN, Misty Pennington of Williamsburg, KY, and Lisa Suzanne Wolf of Frankfort, KY; grandchildren, Christopher, Caleb, Rachel, and Jessica Gross, Jeffrey and Justin Gambrel, Ashleigh, Brittany, and Jay Pennington, and Robbie Wolf; great grandchildren, Braylee Pennington, Liam Gross, Mella Hensley, Elijah Gross, Carli, Addalynn Gambrel, and Jeffrey Gambrel, Jr.
Due to Governor Andy Beshear's Executive Order, given on March 17, 2020, and based on CDC recommendations to decrease the spread of COVID-19, there will be no services at this time for Jimmy Douglas Gambrel
Once restrictions on public gatherings has been lifted a public memorial service will be held at a later date and announced here.
