Jerry Lee Smith

Jerry Lee Smith, 60 of Cranks passed away Monday Sept. 12, 2016 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center.

Jerry was born March 15, 1956 in Harlan to the late Robert Lee Smith and Mary Magaline Hensley Smith Brock. He was preceded in death also by his step father, Edward Brock. He was a lifelong resident of Harlan Co. and believed in the Holiness faith. He attended the Grays Knob and the Cawood Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by his wife Sherry Wilson Smith of Coalgood; children, James Gregory Smith and Kevin Wade Smith both of Coalgood; grandchildren, whom he so dearly loved, James, Lauren, and Brady Smith; stepson Nicholas Wilson and his children, Landon, Nicole, and Bryson Wilson; sisters, Brenda (David) Cassell, Kathy Blair, Angie (Jay) Porter, and half sister, Pam Smith; half brothers, Mickey and Michael Smith.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday (Sept. 17) in the chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home officiating will be Rev. Jerry Collins, Rev. Spencer Burkhart, Rev. Demus Couch, Rev. Terry Baker, and Rev. Willard King. Music will be provided by Jason Collins.

Burial will follow in the Hensley Cemetery at Smith, KY. Pallbearers will be David Cassell, Harvey Napier, Larry Hensley, Estes Hensley, and Dustin Broughton.
