Jerry Radford Wynn

January 13, 1947 — July 2, 2024

Jerry Radford Wynn, 77 of Loyall passed away Tuesday morning of July 2, 2024 at the home of his daughter following a very brief illness.

Jerry was born January 13, 1947 at Twila, KY to the late Brady Wynn, Sr and Deloria Hensley Wynn. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Lee Wynn; infant son, Jerry Lee Wynn; brothers, Elmer Lee, Hershel, Charles, Herbert, Kenneth, Nobel, Murphy, and Monroe; sisters, Dolly Jane, Jean Besaw and Jewell Blanton.

He is survived by his daughters, Angie (Ronnie) Williams of Dayhoit, Cheryl of Corbin; his sons, Cody of London and Ben of Loyall; grandson, Ronnie Andrew (Katlyn) Williams; great granddaughters, Makenna Kate and Macie Ann Williams all of Harlan; He is survived by his brothers, Brady (Charlotte) Wynn of Paducah and Ralph Wynn of Clinton, TN; sister, Barbara Sue Doughtery of Delaware; He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends to mourn his passing.

Jerry was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved the Lord with all his heart. He was a retired coal miner and pastor which enabled him to effect countless lives over the years because of these endeavors. Jerry loved to tell stories of growing up hunting and fishing with his siblings and all of their friends, he also recounted numerous tales of coal mining and the infamous strike in which Jerry was seen on the movie Harlan County USA. Jerry always used his voice to tell us what to do and where to go, which he did in the movie telling kids playing football to come out to the sunrise revival for the strike. He always told us he was the "Main Player" and he truly was.

Visitation will be 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Saturday (July 6) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with services following at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Wynn and Rev. Brady Wynn officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens at Verda, KY. where he will be laid to rest with his beloved wife Patsy.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to Bluegrass Care Navigators 2972 S. US Hwy 25E Barbourville, KY 40906 in memory of Jerry.
