Jeffery Massengale

Jeffery Wayne Massengale, 67 of Verda passed away in the early morning hours of February 6, 2023 at the Harlan ARH.
Jeff was born October 5, 1955 in Harlan to the late Lum and Gertrude Sharp Massengale. He was a retired coal miner.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by wife Velma Massengale who just recently passed on December 27, 2022; his daughter, Shirley King; his siblings, Rodney, Don, Darrell, Wilma Jean and Louise.
He is survived by his daughter, Betty (Keith) Johnson of Kildav, KY; grandsons, Jeffrey (Madison) Johnson of Kildav, KY, J.C. King of Tazewell, TN, and Wesley (Caroline) King of Johnson City, TN; a great-granddaughter, Caroline Elizabeth Owens; brother, Lummy Massengale; sisters, Diane (Roger) Bostick and Brenda Kadlec; son in law, Jess King.
In keeping with his wishes, all services will be private and burial will be in the Evarts Memorial Gardens at Verda, KY.
