James "Eddie" Grubbs

James Edward Grubbs "Eddie", age 60, of Cawood KY. passed away January 3, 2021 at his residence.

He was born June 26, 1960 to the late Polly Grubbs and James Jones. Eddie was an explorer, who loved to go fishing and venture through nature. He had a knack for finding four leaf clovers. Eddie loved to play a guitar and make people laugh with his jokes, he was a comedian who kept people rolling in laughter. Eddie adored his nieces and nephews and kept them entertained, while talking like a duck to them. Eddie had an all around good personality that caused others to love him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents; Polly Grubbs and James Jones, and one sister.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory two loving sisters; Elizabeth Dean, Cawood, KY. and Debra (Jeff) Cornett Baxter, KY. His niece April (Roger) Thompson and three nephews; Brandon Haynes, Gary Howard, and William Cornett. One great niece Jacklynn Stevens and a special niece. Four great nephews; Brandon Haynes Jr., Daniel Haynes, Jack Stevens, and Kaiden Thompson. He also leaves to mourn his passing special friend, Darrell Middleton, as well as a host of other friends  and family.

Visitation will be 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Thursday (Jan. 7) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home. Services will follow at  6:00 pm with Rev. Anthony Noe and Rev. Franklin Stewart officiating.

In Lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
