Irma Lee Wallace, 93 of Harlan passed away Friday evening of Dec. 20, 2013 at the Harlan Health & Rehabilitation Center .
Mrs. Wallace was born Sept. 2, 1920 in Sunshine, KY to the late Claude Albert and Nellie Imogene Barton Blackburn. She was retired Sales Clerk for Royal Jewelers in Harlan after many years of service. She was a Kentucky Colonel and member of the Church of Nazarene .
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Henry Wallace.
She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Pardue of Lakewood, NJ; 3 grandchildren, William Barnard, Manasquan, NJ, Patricia (Kevin) Rowland of Brick, NJ, and Sean Pardue of Jersey City, NJ; a cousin, George (Barbara) Peace of Barbourville; her extended family, “adopted” daughter, Mattie (Earl) Howard of Lawnvale; “adopted grandchildren” Sandy Greene, Amy Lee (Chuck) England, Sean Greene; her church family, and the special caregivers at the Harlan Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Visitation will be Friday Dec. 27, 2013 from 5 until 7:00 pm at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Curry officiating.
Graveside services will be 11:00 am Saturday Dec. 28, 2013 at the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith , KY.
