Ina Hicks

Harlan-Ina Napier Hicks, 88 of Harlan passed away from this life on Thursday, July 31, 2014. She was born August 26, 1925, in Harlan to the late Lee and Alice Farmer Napier. Ina was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, of 53 years and beloved daughter, Patricia; her brothers, Alfred and Reed Napier, and infant sister, Myrtle Marie Napier.

Ina is survived by three daughters, Alice (Rick) McCrary of London, KY, Rosemary (Patrick) Gilbert of Harlan, and Nina (Richard) Prewitt of Williamsburg, KY. Also surviving are four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Devoted Christian woman, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she was the light of our lives and will be sorely missed.

Honoring her request, no visitation or funeral service were held. Burial was at the Resthaven Cemetery, Keith on Saturday, August 2, 2014. Prayer and scripture was given by Rev. Josh Hensley.
