Hiram Day, 58 of Cranks passed away on Monday morning of December 31, 2018 at the Harlan Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Hiram was born August 1, 1960 in Harlan to the late Hiram P. and Ida Ruth Newton Day. He was a retired school bus driver for the Harlan Co. Board of Education and had owned and operated a store in Pennington Gap, VA with his aunt Lydia Surgener. He believed in the Holiness Faith.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Claude Day.
He is survived by his sister, Rebecca (Roger) Bray of Cranks; niece, Amanda Bray; and 2 great nephews, Braden and Landon Collett; he leaves other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday (Jan. 3) in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Bro. James Fee and Rev. Jerry Collins officiating.
Burial will follow in the Surgener’s Amazing Grace Cemetery at Cranks, KY. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
Visitation is after 11:00 am until the funeral hour, Thursday (Jan. 3) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
