Hiram P. Day, 79 of Cranks passed away Sunday Aug. 16, 2015.
Hiram was born Jan. 6, 1936 at Cranks, KY to the late Johnny and Polly Hall Day. He was a retired coal miner with 25 years of service. He was a member of the Cranks Holiness Church.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Ruth Day; sisters, Louanna Napier, Lydia Surgener, and his twin sister, Rebecca Simpson.
He is survived by his children, Rebecca Bray, Hiram Day, Jr, and Claude Anderson Day; granddaughter, Amanda Lewis; 2 great grandchildren, Brayden and Landen Collett; brother, Noah Surgener; he leaves several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be Tuesday (Aug. 18) from 5 until 8:00 pm at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday (Aug. 19) in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Bro. James Fee and Bro. Lonnie Surgener officiating.
Burial will follow in the Surgener Amazing Grace Cemetery at Cranks, KY.
