Hettie Simpson

Hettie Simpson, 84, Harlan, KY passed away January 31 at the University of Kentucky Hospital due to complications from a stroke. She was born May 14, 1929 in Leslie County, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Henry Simpson and Mother, Linda Nolan Simpson; two brothers: Dewey and Aaron Simpson; one sister; Polly Simpson Collins; and one grandson: John Kelly.
Hettie is survived by seven children: Ralph (Jenny) Simpson of Wallins, Lydia (Nicee) Simpson of Tazewell, TN, Denise (Mark) Gibson of Corbin, Cathy (Greg) Partin of Tazewell, TN, Faye Simpson of Cawood, Douglas (Tammy) Simpson of Dayhoit, and Tina Simpson of Middlesboro. Fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; 4 sisters and 3 brothers also survive.
Visitation will be Monday (Feb. 3) from 12 until 2:00 pm at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Pastor John Keefer officiating.
Burial will follow in the Simpson Kelly Cemetery at Cawood.
