Harold Taylor

   William Harold Taylor, 76 of Coxton, KY passed away On Wednesday evening of August 2, 2023 at the Baptist Health In Lexington.
   Harold was born May 2, 1947 in Harlan to the late Mary Gregory, but at a young age he was adopted and raised by his parents the Late Frank and Nora Taylor. He proudly served his country as a Veteran of the United States Army during Vietnam. Harold was retired from law enforcement having worked for Harlan Police Department and the Harlan County Detention Center. He believed in the Baptist Faith. 
    Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, William "Gus" Taylor.
    He is survived by his wife, Linda Howard Taylor; son, Will Taylor and husband Wai Yan Linn Htoon; special neighbors who was like family to Harold, Tim and Lavonda Pennington and their family, Shawn, Holly, Derrick, David Blevins and Gracie Dean; his special friends who was like his grandchildren to him, Cameron Brock and his mother, Sasha, Kenlee Blevins, Dawson Parker and Keegan Brock; he leaves other family members and friends to mourn his passing.
    Visitation will be 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm Sunday (Aug. 6)  at the Coxton Full Gospel Church of God.
    Funeral services will follow at 4:00 pm Sunday (Aug. 6)  at the Church with Rev. Kelles Greer officiating. 
    Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Monday (Aug.7)  at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery South East, 1280 KY-118, Hyden, KY 41749 where Military Rites will be observed by the Leslie Co. DAV.
