Harold Davis

Harold C. Davis, 85 of Bristol, VA formerly of Harlan passed away Monday morning of May 16, 2022 at the NHC of Bristol.
Harold was born June 7, 1936 in Grays Knob, KY to the late Joseph "Red" Davis and Susan "Sue" Metcalf Davis. He was retired from the Harlan Co. Board of Education where he worked as a Janitor and School Bus driver. He had delivered meals for the Harlan Co. Senior Citizens and had worked briefly as a janitor at the Harlan Baptist Church. He had been a member of the Harlan Fire Department for several years.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother in law, Omer Wilson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Elizabeth Ann Dean Davis of Bristol, VA; his children, Harold (Jeanie) Davis, Jr of Peoria, IL and Rose (Andy) Mitchell of Bristol, VA; grandchildren, Nicholas and Richard "Ricky" Mitchell of Bristol, VA; brother, Phillip "Smiley" Davis of Nolansburg, KY; sisters, Alma Wilson of Ages, KY and Eula Hightower of Anniston, AL; 2 sister in laws, Susie Middleton of Evarts and Charlotte Smith of Grays Knob; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Wednesday (May 18) at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Thursday (May 19) in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Howard officiating.
Burial will follow in the Metcalf Family Cemetery at Nolansburg, KY.
