George "Buddy" Stewart

George Pope (Buddy) Stewart, of Cranks Ky.  passed away on Friday, January  22, 2021 at the Harlan ARH.
George was a retired coal miner and a member of the Martins Fork Fire Department. He attended the Cawood Church of God Mountain Assembly.
He is preceded in death by his parents  Pope Stewart and Mildred (Childers) Stewart, as well as  sister Louise Bruce.
George is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Shirley McMillian Stewart, his three sons; Roger and Margie Stewart of Cranks KY., Kenneth ( Sherry) Stewart of Rosspoint, KY., and Jimmy (Judy) Stewart of Cranks KY; his six grandchildren, Monica (Patrick) Middleton, Jimmy Stewart Jr., Raeann (Jamie) Couch, Regina Napier, Cassie Napier, and  JD Miller; his great grandchildren Kathy Sue Middleton, Kenidy Faith Middleton, and Hailey Skidmore; brother Sherman Stewart; sister, Graice (Don) Brooksher: he also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Cawood Church of God Mountain Assembly Tuesday, (Jan 26) at 2:00pm with Rev. Franklin Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the Stewart Cemetery at Cawood, KY with family and friends serving as Pallbearers.
Visitation will be held Monday, (Jan. 25) at Cawood Church of God Mountain Assembly after 5:00 pm
Covid-19 Restrictions of 50% of Church capacity, face masks, and social distancing all set by the Governor of Kentucky shall be followed.
