Garrett "Pat" Patrick Grubbs

   Garrett Patrick "Pat" Grubbs, 61 of Smith, KY passed away peacefully on Monday morning of September 23, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family.

    Pat was born March 2, 1963 in Harlan, KY. He was a retired coal miner and member of the Church of God of the Free People in Harlan. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family, and grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and son. 

   He is preceded in death by his father, Hayward Grubbs; grandparents, Blaine and Sudie Grubbs; Clifford and Alda WIlliams; Royal Bargo, Sr; brother, Clark "Chubbs" Bargo; niece Katelyn "Katie" LeAnn Bargo.

   He is survived by his loving wife, Kinderly Grubbs of Smith; mother Eva Renea Bargo of Cawood; mother in law Nora Stewart; 3 children, Kimber (Dustin) Miniard, Michael Asher, Katlyn (Gunnar) Greene; 5 grandchildren, Dawson, Landon, Jaxon and Mason Miniard, Atlas Greene, and expecting his 6th one soon, Gabriel Greene; his brothers, Ronnie Grubbs of Florida, Royal (Mona) Bargo, Jr of Smith, Clifford Shawn (Carla) Bargo of Cawood; special aunt and uncle, Freda Grubbs and George Grubbs both of Cawood; nieces and nephews, Eva Lynn Bargo McCoig, Cody Royal Bargo, Amanda Lynn Bargo Goldsberry, Jacob "Jake" Shawn Bargo; he leaves several great nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends including 2 special friends, Allen Jones, Roger Jackson and Mary Lou Barnes.

   Visitation will be 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Thursday (Sept. 26) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

   Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday (Sept. 28) at The Church of God of the Free People in Harlan with Rev. Vonny Jones and Rev. Allen Jones officiating. 

   Burial will follow in the Harlan County Memorial Gardens at Lay Hill Cody Royal Bargo, Jake Bargo, Jerry Goldsberry, Allen Jones, Dillon Jones, Peyton Jones, Vonny Jones, Jr and Ryan Cooper will serve as Pallbearers. 

   Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Grubbs, Royal Bargo, Jr and Clifford Shawn Bargo.
