Evelyn Sargent

Evelyn Sargent, 62 of Grays Knob, Ky passed away on Wednesday afteroon of September 4, 2019 at the Tri State Manor in Harrogate, TN.

Evelyn was born July 2, 1957 in Harlan, KY to the late Elige and Susie Sargent. She was retired after 28 years from the Harlan Co. Board of Education where she served as Secretary at the Board offices. She was a member of the Cawood Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Sargent; her sisters, Faye King and Vinnie Sue Sargent.

She is survived by her brother Elige Sargent; brother in law, Rev. Willard King; sister in law, Billie Sargent; she leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Friday (Sept. 6) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Collins and Rev. Willard King officiating.

Burial will be 11:00 am Saturday (Sept. 7) in the Grays Knob Cemetery. Family & Friends will serve as Pallbearers.
