Eugene Kinder, 89 of Ages, KY was born November 13, 1923 in Appalachia, VA and died Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.  He believed in the Holiness Faith and served as an Elder of the Ages Free Pentecostal Holiness Church;  a Veteran of the US Navy having served in WWII, and was a retired coal miner and member of the UMWA for over 30 years.

He was the son of the Late Jesse and Jerushia Crider Kinder.  Also preceding him in death were 3 sons:  Donald, Ronald and Mitchell Kinder; one brother:  Ernest Kinder; 3 sisters:  Lois Peace, Hazel Kinder, and Virginia Kinder; one step-brother:  Joe Gilliam; one step-sister:  Glenda Gilliam Saylor; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years Lucretia Watkins Kinder; 14 children:  Waughnetta (Ken) Kneebone of Taylor, MI; Eddie Kinder of Loyall, KY; Peggy Martinez of Taylor, MI; Bobbie (Jim) Poisson of Allen Park, MI; Rev. Jesse (Tammy) Kinder of Ages, KY; Joyce (Ben) Johnson of Baileys Creek, KY; Jennifer (Kenton) Napier of Loyall, KY; Alfred (Brenda) Kelly, Lambertville, MI; Patricia Pittman of Coxton, KY; Robert Pittman of Harlan, KY; Christine (Harold) Blakely of Catrons Creek, KY; Mary England of Bowling Green, KY; Donnie (Norma) Pittman of Putney, KY; and Larry Wayne (Kim) Huff of Verda, KY.

Seven sisters:  Agnes Strunk of Novi, MI; Lela Burgess of Harlan, KY; Juanita (Kenneth) Winger of Crookston, MN; Evelyn Jones of Orlando, FL; Shelby Jean Brock of Morning View, KY; Patricia (Jesse) Engle of Kentucky; and Judy (Mike) Williams of Baxter, KY as well as 26 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will be held at the Ages Free Pentecostal Holiness Church after 1:00 PM Friday, October 11, 2013.  Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, October 12 at 1:00 PM at the church with the Reverends Perry Long, Terry Baker, Jamie Edwards, and Jerry Collins officiating.

Interment will follow the funeral at the Resthaven Cemetery in Keith, KY.  Brothers of the Church will serve as Pallbearers.  The Harlan Honor Guard will provide Military Rites.
