Emily Hembree

Mrs. Emily Skidmore Hembree, 87 of Harlan, Kentucky passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 at the Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born March 19, 1929 in Harlan County she was daughter of the late Burnham and Elizabeth Skidmore. She was a retired supervisor with Bell South. She was of the Methodist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kyle Hembree; brothers Wilder, Luia, Howard, Claude, and Marvin “Monk” Skidmore; sisters, Frances Williams, Viola Barton, Lydia Castillo, and Laura Manning.
Surviving are a host of nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes visitation and Services were private with interment in the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith, KY. The Rev. Steven Riddle officiated the services.
