Elmer Lee Bowling, 62, of Harlan, Kentucky died Tuesday morning April 8, 2014 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. Lee was a lifelong resident of Harlan and served his country in Thailand during the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Air Force. He was a self-employed Masonry Contractor for several years.
Preceding him in death are his parents: George and Mabel Smith Bowling; two sisters: Pearlie and Mollie; and one brother: Ossie.
Surviving are “The Brothers”: Ken (Phyllis) Bowling, Baxter; Danny (Edie) Bowling, Harrogate; Micky (Linda) Bowling, Harlan; and Roger (Patty) Bowling, Harlan and Son: Dustin Lee Lamb, Corbin. Several Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives and friends also survive.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 9 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home.
Interment will be Thursday, April 10 at 1:00 PM in the Resthaven Cemetery in Keith, KY. The Rev. Don Smith will officiate. Ken Bowling; Danny Bowling; Micky Bowling; Roger Bowling; Kenny Bowling; Shawn Michael Wilson; and Kenny Bowling, II will serve as pallbearers.
