Eldon Jones

Eldon Jones, 89 of Cawood, KY passed away on the early morning of Saturday November 16, 2019 at his home after a long illness.

Eldon was born April 10, 1930 in Lilly, KY to the late Thomas Jefferson and Sarah Jane Brown Jones. He was a retired coal miner and farmer, having worked at Crummies Coal Co. and Dixie Fuel Co.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret Robinson Price Jones; son, Franklin Jones and several siblings.

He is survived by his children, Edwina Jones, Michael (Lynda) Jones, David (Betty) Jones all of Cawood, Robin (Jim) Key of Knoxville, TN; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday (Nov. 19) from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home

Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Sean Daniels officiating.

Burial will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday (Nov. 20) at the Resthaven Cemetery, Keith, KY. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery chapel just prior to service time.
