Dora Couch

Dora Lena (Whitehead) Couch, 39, of Barbourville, KY formerly of Kenvir,  died Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the Middlesboro ARH.  Dora was born in Harlan County, Kentucky and was a homemaker.  She was preceded in death by: Grandparents:   Dora Miracle and Robert Collett, and Silas and Trula Whitehead; two brothers:  Michael Whitehead, Jr. and Johnathan Wayne Blevins.

Dora is the daughter of Michael Whitehead, Sr. and Linda (David) Collett Shipley; as well as step-father Gary Minton of New Tazewell, TN.  She is the mother of three children:  Samantha (Matthew) Martin of Bimble, KY; Austin Smith of Barbourville, KY; and Mckinley Davis also of Barbourville.

Also surviving are Brother:  Michael Parker of Indianapolis, IN; Sisters:  Karen (Randall) Middleton of Eastbrooke, KY and Christina Givens of Eastbrooke, KY.  One special uncle, Johnny Wayne Whitehead of Kenvir, KY and several Nieces, Nephews, Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins also survive.

Visitation will be at the Black Mountain Community Church (formerly old Methodist Church), 129 Carpenter Road, Kenvir, KY after 3:00 PM Saturday.  The funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday at the Church with the Reverends Bill Moore, T. J. Brewer, and John Luttrell officiating.

Interment will follow the funeral in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with Jake Middleton, Josh Turner, William Whitehead, Jacob Shipley, Skyler Shipley, Silas Whitehead, and Chris Brewer will server as Pallbearers.
