David C. Day age 71, husband of Doris Shepherd Day of London, Kentucky passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky. He was the father of Kristi Jayne Day of Roseville, Michigan and David Jonathan Day of Lily, Kentucky, the brother of Ronnie Madewell , Junior Madewell and Nancy Madewell all of Harlan, Kentucky, Maxine Carroll and Mary Lou Grubb both of Pineville, Kentucky. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jack David Day, Stephen Christopher Flippo, and Jonanthan Thomas Day. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ida Middleton Madewell; by one sister, Geraldine Madewell; by one grandchild, Jacob David Day. Funeral services for David C. Day will be conducted Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charlie Helton and Bro. Rick Holt officiating. Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens. The family of David C. Day will receive friends at London Funeral Home after 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016.
