Daniel Boone Ball, Sr.

Daniel Boone Ball, Sr, 81 of New Tazewell, TN formerly of Harlan went to Heaven on Thursday Feb. 15, 2018 at his home with family by his bedside.

Dan was born April 6, 1936 in Harlan Co., KY to the late Hayward and Edna L. Ball. He was lifelong carpenter who done work all over Harlan Co, and surrounding areas for years. He was a saved man and was a member of the Elcomb Baptist Church and enjoyed singing Gospel Music.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Patsy L. Ball; 2 sisters, Betty Wingo and Barbara Jones; grandson, Aaron D. Hensley Ball.

Surviving is his sister, Margaret Hammonds of New Tazewell, TN; children, Daniel Boone (Cindy) Ball, Jr, of Irvine, KY, Terrie Lynn Ward of Rockfield, KY, Bill Duane Ball and James Michael Ball both of New Tazewell, TN; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends are left to mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Sunday (Feb. 18) in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Pastor George Henard officiating.

Burial will follow in the Ball Family Cemetery in New Tazewell, TN with Jerry Hall, Steve Hendrickson, Jim Wilhoit, Christopher Greene, Koda Jones, and Sheldon Cassetty serving as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are Ken Bowling and Michael Ball.

Visitation will be after 11:00 am Sunday (Feb. 18) until the funeral hour at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
