Dallas Ray Gilbert, 51 of Harlan, born Dec 9, 1962, departed from this world to his heavenly home on March 26, 2014 at the Harlan ARH.
Dallas was a graduate of James A. Cawood High School and had attended school at the College of the Cumberland’s. He served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corp.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Edna Gilbert; Sisters Deloris Ann Gilbert and Carrie Sue Gilbert Wynn.
Dallas is survived by his siblings Joyce and Hyden Curnutt, William Dan and Brenda Gilbert, Nancy and Ronnie Williams, Sie Bo and Vicky Gilbert, Roger and Pat Gilbert, Judy and Robert Keith, Betty Napier, Kenny Napier, Alice Smith (twin sister), and Eddie and Jantana Gilbert; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dallas can be called the "Godfather" at The Laurels, which was his home, were he leaves behind many friends. Dallas never met a stranger and loved everyone. If you ever met Dallas you know you where his favorite, as he always let you know this fact.
Dallas wanted to go the ocean, so in keeping with his wishes that is where he will rest. All services will be Private.
