Claude Huff, Jr. 67 of Big Laurel passed away Friday Feb. 28, 2014 at the Harlan ARH following a long battle with cancer, while surrounded by his loving family.

Claude was born May 5, 1946 in Harlan Co., KY to the late Claude, Sr and Zona North Huff. He was a disabled coal miner having last worked for Shamrock Coal. He loved little children and cats. He loved to hunt, fish, and raise a garden. He was a member and Past Master of Nolen Lodge 806 F & AM and the Oleika Shriners. He was a member of Alex Branch Church of Christ.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his father & mother-in-law, Bennie and Susan Farler Adams; a nephew, that he raised like a son, Michael Hendrix; several sister-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sina Elizabeth Adams Huff of Big Laurel; daughter, Pamela Claudette Huff of Harlan; son, Jason Scott (Angie Caldwell) Huff of Bledsoe; his pride and joy, Grandson, Garrison Riley Huff; brother, Lonnie Huff of Sawbriar; sister-in-laws, Mary Turner of Big Laurel, Shirley Miniard of Big Laurel, Sarah & Fred Blair of Big Laurel, Rosalee Lewis of Hyden;; 2 nephews, a niece that he loved as his own, Logan, Travis, and Kayla Lewis. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved. He was also survived by 2 uncles and 1 aunts.

Visitation will be Tuesday March 4, 2014 from 5 until 9:00 pm at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday March 5, 2014 in the chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Pastor James Forrester officiating. Masonic Rites will be observed by Nolan Lodge 806 F & AM immediately following the funeral services.

Burial will follow in the Adams Family Cemetery on Greasy Creek.
